1ST Shift 6:00am -2:30pm.
Pay Rate: $28-$32 HR.

Position Summary:
The Field Service Technician will primarily support equipment assembly operations at Maren Engineering South Holland manufacturing facility 70% of the time reporting to the Plant Manager. This role will also travel to customer sites upto 30% as needed to perform equipment start-ups, troubleshooting, repairs, and field service support.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assembly & Manufacturing (Primary Focus):
- Assemble balers and industrial equipment using hand and power tools.
- Perform efficient, high-quality MIG welding on various metal thicknesses.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and hydraulic layouts.
- Perform low and high voltage point-to-point wiring per supplied schematics.
- Install and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, including hose fabrication and pressure setup.
- Test equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Use precision measuring tools and accurately read tape measures.
- Rig machinery and operate forklifts and overhead cranes (certification required or obtained).
- Meet production, quality, and safety standards.
- Field Service & Customer Support.
- Travel to customer sites as needed for equipment start-ups and service.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PLC-related issues.
- Ensure equipment exceeds customer expectations.
- Provide professional customer service and document service activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong mechanical and technical background.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience required.
- Hydraulic systems knowledge required.
- MIG welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- PLC experience preferred.
- Experience with industrial or heavy equipment preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.
- Ability to operate and interpret readings from electrical test equipment such as DVOM.
